Melbourne, 14 October 2013: Polk Audio has launched a new range of portable and personal audio products, crafted with high quality sound and vintage styling that blends metal, leather, wood grains and other natural finishes.
The Heritage collection, which includes both speakers and headphones, lives up to Polk’s reputation for delivering legendary sound and unmatched acoustics.
The attractive Woodbourne wireless loudspeaker offers AirPlay and Bluetooth wireless technology with aptX connectivity. With a single, compact system, the powerful Woodbourne has an integrated 180-Watt RMS amplifier, two mid-woofers and two silk dome tweeters. It can fill a room with full-range Polk sound quality, the equivalent of a pair of high performance bookshelf speakers. The uniquely shaped Woodbourne is 60cm wide and has a mahogany wood veneer top offering a vintage feel.
The Camden Square is a wireless portable speaker with superior sound. The compact unit allows music lovers to use the Polk DJ Steam app to play songs over Bluetooth from up to four different iPhones at the same time. Boasting a 24 hour battery life, the Camden Square is ideal for party-going music lovers. The 18cm x 18cm speaker has a 3.5mm input on the side for more traditional music playback, and runs two bass radiators alongside long-throw full range drivers for big sounds from a small device.
Buckle and Hinge are two unique styles of over-ear and on-ear headphones and are ideal for music lovers and the design conscious alike. The headphones are crafted with ergonomically designed headbands for a secure, comfortable fit and deliver a rich and detailed listening experience. The lightweight Buckle over-ear headphones and compact on-hear Hinge provide superior sound with built-in three button control and microphone giving users easy control over audio selection and phone calls at the touch of a button. The Hinge headband uses a light yet rugged aluminium hinge allowing users to fold them into a compact, easy travel size. Buckle and Hinge reflect Polk’s classic retro design and are available in chestnut or black with contrasting stitching and metal detailing.
The Polk Heritage headphones collection also includes Nue Era and Nue Voe in-ear headphones, the ultimate audio accessories for music lovers on the go. Designed with fit and comfort in mind, both headphones are made of polymer resin for added durability. Nue Voe and Nue Era also have an easy-to-use three button control, built-in microphone and can be connected to supported iOS devices.
Commenting on the launch of the new range Steve Siolis, Managing Director of Directed Electronics said, “Polk Audio has more than 40 years’ experience and every product in its new Heritage range reflects its outstanding craftsmanship and rich quality sound.
